Simple flavour combinations executed well always produce great results, as this pasta salad proves. Pasta bows coated in a mustardy dressing with juicy grilled flat mushrooms and peppers, all mixed together with baby spinach and rocket. Simple tasty food.

This is my absolute favourite dish. Then again I have to say that as it's my wife's recipe. Some of the ingredients aren't traditional to a carbonara but wait to you try it. What makes it so special is that with every mouthful, you can taste every one of the ingredients.

Using a rich homemade cheese sauce with a touch of mustard makes a huge difference. This comforting recipe will have you returning for seconds... and thirds... just ensure you make plenty!

This recipe couldn't be simpler and couldn't be tastier. The rosemary infused roast squash with the richness of creamy mascarpone make this a real winner.

This dish is so simple, quick and easy that you won't believe how good it tastes! The succulent poached salmon coated in a light mustard sauce goes so well with the sticky tagliatelle.

Tortellini look great and, with the right filling, are melt in the mouth delicious too. My combination of salty serano ham and creamy nutty manchego cheese make this recipe a real delight.

This is a dish that has suffered from being a student favourite containing only mince and cheap supermarket sauce. With a little care and attention though, spaghetti bolognese should be a dish that's the ultimate in comfort and packed with flavour.

Juicy mussels cooked in white wine and garlic, tossed together with spaghetti, fresh chill and chopped parsley. The delicious combination has such a fresh taste, that you will be looking into the empty pan wishing you made more.

This recipe is the epitome of simplicity and it's so quick to make. Succulent steak & fresh tagliatelle bound together with melted butter that's infused with the beautiful aroma of chopped fresh rosemary.

This is the ultimate comfort food. So rich, delicious and moreish. This recipe is for 4 people and is freezable, but I dare you not to go back for a second helping. Just don't expect to be able to walk for a while after!

This week's newsletter recipe is for my Tangy Lamb Tagine. This is a great dish packed with flavour - all you have to do is throw a bunch of ingredients in a pot and let them cook for a couple of hours and the result is magic! Slow cooked lamb shoulder, with the sweetness of apricot and the gentle heat of cayenne pepper - this dish will warm up your senses in no time.

Throughout November, the theme for my newsletters is 'Winter Warmers'. Each of this month's delicious recipes contain just enough spice to warm those winter months.
