Soup recipes

The videos here can be used as a cook, or 'make'-along, but they can also be used as a reference guide. I'll be adding more techniques so if there's anything specific you want to see then let me know.

This soup really lends itself to being served cold and is a fun alternative for a summer weeknight. The subtle flavour of celery with the distinctive hint of tarragon make this a chilled delight. At only 157 calories per person, this soup is great for the waistline too

This is a soup that is big on flavour. Onions when cooked slowly will develop the most incredible sweet taste - hard to imagine when they're making your eyes water whilst chopping!

We don't eat enough pulses in our diet but this soup will fix that! My Mum's lentil soup is delicious because the tasty bacon bits, the lovely veg and the healthy red lentils provide the perfect winter warmer.

This is an autumn classic. Use either pumpkin or butternut squash for this soup as both work perfectly. The sweetness of pumpkin/squash is unique amongst vegetables and provides a great basis for this delicious soup.

This is a great soup that is so healthy. Your own 5 a day in a bowl, with no effort and maximum taste! My version is a chunky soup, with the chunks of veg giving this soup a lovely bite.
